 Growing up in Kailua on the island of Oʻahu, Pikes spent much of his childhood in and around the ocean, developing a deep appreciation for Hawaiʻi's marine environment. He later attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned a degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis on environmental policy and conservation. Pikes is passionate about marine debris removal, coral reef protection, and preserving Hawaiʻi's natural resources for future generations. In his free time he enjoys surfing, freediving, paddling, training, and hiking.
