Andy Sullivan-Haskins

LEAD Marine Debris Technician I

Hometown: Warwick, Rhode Island

Current Residence: Honolulu, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi

Andrew initially arrived to Hawaiʻi via sailboat seventeen years ago. It was during that voyage that he first encountered the threats of marine debris first hand and has since spent the majority of his time in Hawaiʻi living and working in conservation on some of the most remote atolls in Papahānaumokuākea. He has worked closely with endangered native species like the Laysan duck and the Hawaiian monk seal and has dedicated his life to protecting the native flora and fauna of Hawaiʻi. Andrew’s conservation based photography and videography is focused on environmental issues in Hawaiʻi and is intended to encourage and inspire change. This upcoming year will mark Andrewʻs third consecutive field season with the Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project.
